You can register for trainings and apply for the $500 stipend and/or enhanced rate/budget by going to the Minnesota Direct Support Worker Training website (https://www.minnesotadswtraining.com) and following the directions on the site.

Stipends are available only for workers in PCA Choice, CSG and CDCS who complete qualifying trainings before June 30, 2023. A worker may receive up to two $500 stipends starting July 1, 2021, until the $1 million of stipend funding is exhausted or June 30, 2023, whichever comes sooner. Stipends are available on a first come, first served basis.
The Enhanced Rate is available for any workers in PCA Choice, Traditional PCA, CSG, and CDCS who complete and maintain qualifying trainings, and who care for a client with:
- An assessed need for 10+ hours of care per day, or
- A home care rating of EN or higher.

When you’ve completed all of the required trainings to qualify, gather your proofs of completion, then:

If you haven’t already created an account, click ‘Signup’ at the top-right of the homepage and fill out the form. You can get your UMPI number by making a quick call to your agency/FMS to request it.
